Whether designing a logo, brochure or a website, the first step always involves a thorough research and information gathering. What does client want to achieve: provide information, promote a service or sell a product? Who is the target audience? What’s the age, sex and interests of these people? How other businesses in the same industry represent themselves in print and/or online? Who is the competition? What’s their edge? What can be done to rise above the major competitors and how their weaknesses can be used to our client’s advantage?

Design Concepts

Based on the research performed during the first step, we determine the best strategy for achieving the project’s objectives and come up with a few different design ideas. If the project involves a website design, we create mock-ups, wire frames, information architecture flowcharts, navigation sitemaps, and establish what technologies should be implemented. Then it’s all presented to a client with a detailed explanation of the projected effect the marketing piece is expected to have on the viewers or what the user experience of website visitors is expected to be.

Final Design Development

At this stage, clients provide their feedback and offer suggestions. Subsequently, as a result of a few tweaks and adjustments, they are able to choose the winning design concept and identify the final design direction. At this point, clients are given access to a dedicated area on our server, where they can follow the progress throughout the final design and development stages. In this way we work together, staying in contact and exchanging ideas to ensure that the final product matches the client’s taste and needs. Following steps are especially important for website design projects.

Implementation & Testing

Now, the final graphical concept is translated into website files, the desired functionality is achieved and distributed throughout the appropriate areas of the site, and files are populated with client-approved content. Then we check the forms and different scripts for an error-free performance and ensure that the cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility is achieved. We write CSS/XHTML-based code and the websites we create are W3C validated. Due to our vast expertise in search engine marketing and optimization, we design websites that are SEO-friendly.

Delivery & Maintenance

Once the final approval is received, the files are uploaded to the client’s server and quickly tested again to ensure that the website continues to be fully functional. At this point, the website is officially launched and is now viewable to the public. Depending on the project or the technology used we may train the client to maintain their blog/CMS website or provide an ongoing updates and maintenance on an “as-needed” basis. Very often we engage our SEO program to improve the website’s performance in major search engines, which usually increases its conversion rate and results in positive ROI.
